Kate

Kate has a background in hospitality having worked for a travel company operating in France and also as a chef catering for special events.  She also ran her own antiques shop and interior design consultancy.  She is therefore well qualified to offer guests a stylish and gastronomic retreat!  Delicious home-cooked dinners are available on request prepared from fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Adrian

Adrian's eclectic background includes more than a decade in Africa: farming in Botswana, working with the Kalahari Bushmen in Namibia and for international aid agencies before becoming an entrepreneur. In Australia, Adrian helped build up a global head-hunting company, before commencing studies in film, making award-winning documentaries and completing a PhD in ethnographic film.  He is still involved in photography and writing but is always happy to assist guests with advice on local trips, and guidance on trail running and cycle routes.

About Us

Having regularly visited the Pyrenees-Orientales whilst working for a travel company and through having friends living in the area, Kate got to know and love the region.  In 2006 she bought a town house in Ille-sur-Têt and dreamt of living here one day and running a business.  When she met Adrian in 2010 and introduced him to her dream, he was immediately hooked and they started to work towards making it a reality.  They bought the Mas St Joseph in February 2013 and are now pleased to be able to share the idyll with their guests.
